Born in Salt Lake City, UT. moved to Reno, NV with his mother because his parents divorced when Mike was 2 years old.

Not too long after that Mikes mother remarried and had another little boy making Mike a Big brother. Mike had the mind of an entrepreneur and would try to find new ways to make a little extra money. For example selling baseball cards, yard sales, taking out peoples trash, handing out fliers for Dominos etc.

At 15, Mike moved to St. George, UT to live with his dad and become closer to my grandparents. Mike went through a lot of pain at this time. Before he go to his dads there were many nights without having power and not having food.

Even though life was not easy this is what created the person Mike is. Funny thing is, many nights Mike would stay up late watching infomercials on how to make money from home – people like Don Lapre, Carlton Sheets, and other money-making gurus.

During his sophomore and junior year of high school Mike played Varsity Football and won the State Championship his Junior year.

Although, Mike let his grades fall making the school bench him from playing football. This pushed Mike to get his grades up and when he was able to participate in sports again, joined the Varsity Track team and during a fierce track meet he won Silver on the 4×100 race.

This leads Mike to the end of Senior year... Mike did not like college, so he actually decided to enlist in the army.

The problem is that Mike failed 9th and 11th grade so he had to make it up before joining the Army. It took Mike one extra year to graduate and joined the military at 19 years old.

Mike was part of the 2/222 Field Artillery in St. George Utah, and got out of the military after 12 years in May 2013 and was made Sergeant in June 2008.

Before Mike joined the military he actually had a girlfriend and serious relationship. About 7 months after Mike got back home, they realized they were pregnant and decided to get married.

While Mike was serving the USA on deployment, he was reading books about financial literacy and looking for ways to make money online.

While Mike was in the Army he wanted to make sure his wife and Daughter were going to able to stay home and be taken care of so he learn as much as he could and even tried a few programs that ended up taking his money and not working.

AFTER Serving in Iraq:

With all the books and systems Mike was doing in deployment, guess what he came back to do after being a hero... Mike went back to Wal-Mart Distribution (a shipping center for Wal-Mart) throwing boxes in trailers for $15.25 an hour..

BUT This is when he started to date Christy.

4 years of military and another year of 9-5 slave labor, this is when Mike started to feel the need to be successful, for HIS own self as well.

Mike took a leap and trained to become a Mortgage Officer. Mike drove 4.5 hours one way to Salt Lake City twice a week to learn how to be a mortgage officer.

Super excited and ready to start making money, the financial crisis hit and the housing market tanked leaving Mike with a huge hole feeling like: “What am I going to do now?”

That is when Mike tried going back to college because the military will pay for his tuition, he just has to go get it done. After a few semesters Mike decided to quit college (great idea, not everything is worth finishing).

After failing school, again(s's) Mike was ready to be a real business owner and take control of his life.

Mike Hobbs Meet MLM... MLM Meet Mike Hobbs

Just like many others before him, one day Mike's co-workers at Wal-Mart invited him to a meeting for a network marketing company called Primerica. This was the moment Mike "found" the answer he was looking for.

Mike started to tell all of his friends and family, and guess what, his first customer was his girlfriend Christy.

Day after day Mike would do home parties and present the business to MULTIPLE people, but people were just not buying. And when Mike would get a sale, that team member would quit almost RIGHT AWAY!

Quickly Mikes family and friends started to not answer his calls and the good ol' NFL club kicked in. No Friends Left. Traditional MLM network marketing just wasn't working.

Mike turned to the internet to learn a better way to do business, only to buy scam after scam and get into a huge debt hole that loomed over the whole family.

In April 2007 Mike started to see small success and invest affiliate commissions into assets for more wealth.

October was a life changing moment for Mike & Christy

That is the month Christy and Mike got married but when Mike and Christy asked for a week off of work they were told they can only have 4 days.

Like Badasses these 2 love birds quit their 9-5 job and went full time into the business to make it work and enjoy their life. Christy would work part time as a substitute teacher but it was much more free than before.

In 2008 Mike was making great money with some investments he he put in place...

But Mike started to take own loans and double down with his own money and the companies stole the money.

They went from quitting their jobs, earning 6 figures the first part of 2008, to losing it all by the end of 2008!

Mike and Christy were 100k in debt, behind on mortgage and depressed!

In 2009 life hit its worst...

Mike and Christy were barrowing money and getting food from church. Life was so stressful and hard that Mike developed Bells Palsy on the left side of his face (caused by stress).

They lost their home of for years & was expecting their first son in August.

Mike had a choice, does he go back to a job and trade time for money barely getting by. Or does he focus the next few months on a business to claim his freedom?

Mike decided to build a business, and in 2012 he made 100k in income… Then in 2013 he cleared $250k in income & it continues to grow each year!

Fast forward to today, Mike owns the home business academy affiliate program with co-founder Paul Hutchings and is living a great life of freedom and prosperity.

This story about Paul starts when Paul is already a father and he is praying at his kids bed side after tucking them into bed and prayed to the loving God for a way out of the matrix.

Paul had tried all the old MLM strategies that are available and struggled. You name it, he did it. And it lead to a moment where he was praying for a better way because he felt like he has failed his family.

Soon after Paul started to have massive success, but here is how it happened...

Paul had graduated college (great achievement) but how was only able to land a call center job making $11 per Hour. Married, Paul and his wife were living in a 1984 single wide mobile home.

Paul's life was the usual, wake up, work as hard as you can to bring the bacon home and repeat it every single day. Even showing up early and working harder than the other employees such as staying late.

As time went on, the boss would be promotions and raises to people who barely worked. Paul hated that people were getting ahead by pleasing the boss rather than producing real results. The system is rigged :)

Paul has morals, ethics and will power... he couldn't be less of a person just to make more money at his job.

The kind of dedication Paul showed to the company is incredible, like one year Paul dropped his wedding anniversary to work for the company and the boss was disappointed because Paul wanted to ask his wife.

Obviously she was mad, Obviously Paul didn't want to either. But most importantly Paul wanted to make sure his wife knew that he did not forget. Then he would be in real trouble, hahaha.

But it's just complete BS that Pauls boss did not appreciate him. This is when the Phoenix started to rise in Pauls will of fire. The next chance he got to sail away from the island of cubicles... he was going to take it!

A friend of his asked him to join an MLM network marketing company and he jumped in. Paul literally thought that he found the holly grail and was going to finally find the one piece (treasure or freedom)

However this is where Paul's real problems had begun...

Quickly like the Flash, he called his friend and family and was shocked that now everyone wants to to a pyramid thing. Isn't that always a reality check? Paul expanded to calling his neighbors. Scared, sweating and shaking the phone, he got some people to his house and the sponsor did the presentation. All the people there said "No"...

This was a fuel that made Paul work harder so he could prove to his family and the world that this really can make money. He expanded to trade shows, business cards, flyers and got his friend to do door to door sales with him... all un successful and more battle scares of embarrassment.

Paul started to feel the shame of MLM, as in, no success and people laughing at you behind your "Is he still doing that 'thing'... why doesn't he get a real job?"

You know...

Someone even started to verbally attack Paul saying that they cant believe his WIFE puts up with living in a trailer as he does MLM.

This was very painful for Paul, and it would be for any Husband because it wasn;t like they were wrong. It was something that loomed on the family already but thought it was kinda not a bog deal from the outside.

Where they right?

Then 4 years later Pauls life took the worst turn. His wife drove home from the hospital and told Paul that they baby need a major surgery because the bones in the head were fused together. The cost of the operation was $50,000.

And guess what?

Paul's life insurance just went out.

No job, no savings, pennies from the MLM and 50K weight dropped... this is what brought Paul to his real breaking point where he started pray over his child for a better way in his business to make all these fears and failures go away.

Very soon after that, Paul go an ad about network marketing lead generation.

Paul discovered attraction marketing and that he can bring people to him rather than chasing prospects. So he work his butt off and one day he got a call that really proves that he was on the right path...
